Lenovo Thinkpad R60 Laptop owner, I must say that I have been thoroughly impressed with the performance of this laptop. However, I cannot say the same for the hinges.
After about a year of use, I started to notice that the hinges were becoming loose and the display was wobbly. This made it difficult to use the laptop, as I had to be very careful when opening or closing the lid, and I couldn’t adjust the screen angle without fear of the display falling backwards.
Eventually, the hinges gave out completely, and the display would no longer stay open on its own. I had to resort to using the laptop with an external monitor, which was a major inconvenience.
I contacted Lenovo support, and while they were friendly and helpful, they told me that this was a common issue with the write a customer review on Lenovo Thinkpad R60 Laptop Hinges and that it was not covered under warranty. I had to pay for the repairs out of pocket, which was frustrating considering the laptop was only a few years old.
